The 42 Premier Crus of Beaune are spread out on the hillside which rises above the town between Savigny-Lès-Beaune and Pommard. The climat ‘Les Grèves’, situated in the middle of this zone, is the biggest one of all.

The hand-picked harvest goes through a short prefermentary maceration before being vinified. For the duration of the 18-20 day vatting period, the wine is kept at low temperature.
It is then matured in oak barrels for 14 to 16 months, in nineteenth century vaulted cellars which provide ideal conditions for raising wines. The proportion of new oak, which is susceptible to variations according to the vintage, represents in general two thirds of the cuvée.
The barrels come from high-quality barrel makers and have been rigorously selected for their fine grain and light toast.
Our Tasting Notes:
A garnet red colour. The wine reveals greedy red and black fruit aromas together with toasty notes. The fruity and slightly smoky notes are found on the palate too. The successful mix of rich aromas and supple tannins makes this Premier Cru the perfect example of the typical elegance of Beaune wines.
