Grand Cru "Les Clos"

Chablis’ vineyards stretch out across 19 villages along the Serein valley.
Chablis, the ‘Golden Gateway to Burgundy’ devotes itself to producing a crystalline, perfumed, lively and sophisticated wine, whose name has become almost synonymous with ‘fine dry white wine’ outside France.

Yield: 54 hl /ha

The producers we have selected provide us with high-quality musts, which we vinify in our cellars in Nuits St Georges.   They benefit from the same technical means and the same attention as our Côte d’Or wines.
Part of the cuvée is then matured in oak barrels for 10 to 12 months, in nineteenth century vaulted cellars which provide ideal conditions for raising wines. The barrels, which come from high-quality barrel makers, have been rigorously selected for their fine grain and light toast.


Our Tasting Notes:

A brilliant pale yellow colour. The nose has a beautiful array of mineral, floral and fruity notes.  After a bold attack, this wine is structured and vigorous on the palate.
This Chablis Grand Cru is very concentrated and has good length.



Serve at: 10°C to 12 °C
Serve with: Fish Terrine, White Meats, Goat’s Cheese
Cellaring Potential: 6 to 8 years 

The Chablis "Les Clos" 2008 has a deliciously open nose with hints of fresh hazelnut and acacia. After a slightly lively attack, this wine proves to be full and generous on the palate. The vanillary aromas become more acidic on the finish. This is a typical Chablis Grand Cru with good ageing potential.

This Chablis "Les Clos" 2006 is powerful and sophisticated. The nose is mineral with notes of dry fruit( hazelnut) , linden tree and citrus fruits. Woody vanilla notes are a discreet accompaniment to a wine which is full and fat on the palate, but without heaviness. This is a great wine with fine ageing potential.
