Meursault is the capital of fine white wines in Burgundy. This plot, on the border of Puligny-Montrachet, was once covered with hornbeam trees ‘charmes’. This is an exceptional terroir where Chardonnay expresses itself marvelously, giving some of the finest white wines in Côte de Beaune.

Domaine Faiveley is responsible for all the work carried out in this vineyard and can therefore have total control over the quality of the grapes, as in the plots it owns. The hand-picked harvest is transported with care to our cellars in Nuits St Georges.
The wine is then matured in oak barrels for 13 to 15 months, in nineteenth century vaulted cellars which provide ideal conditions for raising wines. The proportion of new oak, which is susceptible to variations according to the vintage, represents on average one third of the cuvée.
The barrels come from high-quality barrel makers and have been rigorously selected for their fine grain and light toast.

It is a brilliant and clear pale yellow, with green tints. The sophisticated nose of great finesse, opens with a mellow woodiness and discreet floral notes. This wine continues in the same vain on the palate where we find the pedigree and generosity which is typical of Meursault wines, yet without any heaviness. The climat 'Les Charmes' has long lasting aromas of good intensity this year.

This wine's nose opens up with scents of spice bread, fudge and grilled peanuts, then releases very ripe yellow fruit aromas. We find these same aromas on the palate. It is full, fat and very velvety, but balanced out by its liveliness which avoids heaviness. Beautiful length of aromas for this Meursault les Charmes, full of finesse and pedigree.
