The hand-picked harvest is vinified by producers we are in partnership with. Our Oenologist tastes each cuvée and only chooses the best wines from trusted producers.
The wine is then matured in oak barrels for 14 to 16 months, in nineteenth century vaulted cellars which provide ideal conditions for raising wines. The proportion of new oak, which is susceptible to variations according to the vintage, represents on average one third of the cuvée. The barrels come from high-quality barrel makers and have been rigorously selected for their fine grain and light toast.
Our Tasting Notes:
The village of Volnay is well known for the elegance of its red wines and this one is no exception. It expresses aromas of small red and black fruits, mixed with spices and a delicate woodiness. These greedy, fruity tastes are wrapped up in fine tannins which give a velvet touch on the palate.

The 2008 vintage gives us a ruby wine with garnet tints. The powerful nose with scents of black pepper, raspberries and Sweet William gives way to silkiness on the palate. The blended tannins coat the fruity aromas and structure this fine Volnay "Fremiets".

The Volnay "Fremiets" 2007 is a wine of great finesse and fine complexity. It is pleasant and full of softness on the palate, echoing the grilled and spicy black pepper notes scented on the nose. The finish is velvety, silky and long - this is a very nice wine.
